Timothy Murphy Playhouse presents

2021 Talent Showcase – August 6, 2021*

Casting soloists and ensemble members for our summer talent showcase to
perform songs from Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, Miss Saigon, Ragtime,
Children of Eden, RENT and more! Non-traditional casting will be applied, so
all are encouraged to audition for the song of their choice, regardless of
gender, age, etc. The songs, chosen by the producers, will be stand alone
performances, not necessarily following the story of the shows from which
they came.

This is going to be a non-traditional summer, we will cast each individual in
either a solo, duet or ensemble piece. There will be limited rehearsals/
direction. Each individual will be largely responsible for learning his/her
piece on their own.

Auditions will be held at the Middleburgh Reformed Church on
Sunday, May 23rd from 4:30-6:30. You may form a line 6 feet apart
outdoors to sign up for your audition slot and will be asked to fill out
audition paperwork while you wait. All must wear a mask while indoors.
For the auditions, please choose from the songs listed below.

“Lost in the Wilderness” Children of Eden
“Think of Me” Phantom of the Opera
“She Used to be Mine” Waitress
“The Impossible Dream” Man of La Mancha

If you are not auditioning for a solo and wish to be part of the ensemble,
you need not audition with one of the above songs and may sing “Happy
Birthday” instead.
